A new year approached and caught us behind in 2009. Connor turned 5 and claimed he was a big boy now. We decided then a big boy he could be. Life settled down after a overwhelming Christmas break, but peace has ensued our home. Connor had his party with the family and a few of his friends at the local pizza place. All the children continued to ice skate and enjoy the ability to play in the snow. London our dog completely enjoys the snow and the ability to jump in it. To be a pup and have that much energy!
We also gained a new member to our family. He is a 7 year old young boy named Malachi. He is severely autistic, nonverbal and has many inappropriate behaviors. We were asked to take him in after no other homes could be found for him. Using the training April has had and the love of the children we hope to make a difference in Malachi's life. He will be a challenge beyond anything that any of my family has seen before. We shall go forward with faith and pray that by the end of each day we can all say thank goodness for another day.!
