This month changed rapidly as we wound down the summer. Anakela had her 2nd 4H horse show and did well increasing in her abilities. Sadly, the next day as she was sitting on the horses back her and her friend lost their balance and fell off and she broke her leg. After wanting a broken (something) for 3 years, she finally got what she wanted, although she is rethinking that desire.
Leilani and I headed to Salt Lake for a recheck on her feet. They look great and do not have to return for another year. We stayed in a hotel and she truly enjoyed herself being able to be just with mom.
Kalina turned 2 and we had a wonderful time as we celebrated our second summer birthday. She enjoyed herself and relished in anything that had Minnie Mouse on it.
School began towards the end of August. Jud in 8th grade (please help my sanity), Anakela in 4th grade (the boys are sneaking in), Leilani in 2nd grade(smart as a pistol). Connor started preschool this year and is truly enjoying it, leaving Kalina and mom alone for a few hours 3 days a week, forgot what
it was like to only have one child at home (secretly I loved it, but missed my other ones).
